Description
BACKGROUND
Noble Tree was originally founded as a passion project by two sommeliers/restaurateurs to produce wines for their fellow industry friends. Production began as a true “garagistes-négociant” style winery, focusing on healthy vineyard sources, hand harvesting and honest winemaking practices. In 2019, Marc Taub of Taub Family Vineyards became proprietor of Noble Tree, upholding the mission and essence of the winemaking philosophy: to respect varietal character and reflect the vineyard site and vintage conditions in each wine.

WINEMAKING & AGING
This Grenache is from an Estate site in the middle reach of the Russian River Valley with rocky, sandy loam soils. The clusters were hand-picked, cluster sorted, berry sorted and fermented with 20% whole clusters. Aged for ten months in 63% neutral oak barrels and 37% concrete egg tanks.
TASTING NOTES
Perfumed aromas of rose water and cherry blossom erupt on the nose. This highly aromatic wine has bold notes of ripe raspberry, strawberry, and white pepper. Although this 100% Grenache is lean, the palate is rich with warm, woodsy red fruit flavors, spice, and balanced acidity. A tremendous example of an estate Grenache grown in a cool climate.
