Description
WINEMAKER NOTES:
Vinho Verde comes from a small region in Northern Portugal in the historic Minho province known for its super-value whites, reds, and rosés. These wines are loved for mouth-zapping acidity, subtle carbonation, and lower alcohol, making them a great choice for summer. The name literally means “green wine,” but translates as “young wine”, with wine being released three to six months after the grapes are harvested. The vines for Mapreco are farmed with ecological methods including soil conservation and biodiversity maintenance to protect the environment.
TASTING NOTES:
The cherry color reveals a slightly fizzy wine that is a very fruitful rosé made from the traditional Vinho Verde white grapes. Adding a splash of red to offer flavors with notes of strawberry, cherry and berries. With just the right amount of effervescence and a medium length finish is a perennial favorite. Delicious!
