Description
WINEMAKER NOTES:
Established in 2008, Captûre is inspired by California’s frontier spirit while staying true to time-honored French winemaking traditions. Our origins are rooted in the far reaches of the Mayacamas Mountains, seeking out remote high-elevation vineyards in Sonoma and Lake Counties, always pushing toward the next peak.
TASTING NOTES:
Dark and brooding, the 2019 Cabernet is mysterious and full of power. Cassis, maraschino cherry and faint whiffs of cola start the journey. On the palate, a very generous amount of velvety mountain tannin is caressed into an almost endless finish. Some soft vanilla notes, more dense black fruit: black berry, cherry and cedary spice combine to entice another sip. Yum. 94 POINTS
