Description
QUIXOTE
(pronounced kee-ho-tee)
Embodying the phrase “a work of art” in every sense, from our world-class Napa Valley wines from Stags Leap to our extraordinary and eccentric architecture, we invite you to discover what makes Quixote special.
WINEMAKER NOTES:
Panza is the second label from Quixote Winery; it’s made from the organic fruit from the Estate, but unlike Quixote wines, it’s available outside of the winery. Philippe Melka is the winemaker, and his style works magic with the Stag’s Leap District fruit. A lighter pump over regime during primary fermentation coupled with a barrel program of 40% new French oak and 18 months of aging, led to Panza wines that have a higher level of elegance and finesse than previous vintages.
TASTING NOTES:
Packed with juicy dark fruits, subtle hints of orange peel, black berries chocolate, coffee and clove, with a glimpse of violet. Soft structure up front which builds across your palate and nice density bringing a pleasing finish.
VARIETALS:
100% Petite Sirah
APPELLATION:
Stags Leap District, Napa Valley, California, USA
